Get on the Ball CD

Join Kimberly Dye, dance/movement therapist, in ball exercises that incorporate warm-ups, imagery, and affirmations specific to themes of body center, boundaries, and assertiveness. As you embody these concepts you will gain the tools to activate them in your life. Designed from a developmental perspective, you can either practice these sessions sequentially or choose one that suits your specific needs.

Cut 1 - Breathing and Finding your Center
You will increase your breath, flow, and flexibility through your spine and joints, strengthen your center, gain coordination, balance, and a positive body image.

Cut 2 - Strength and Grounding
Begin with warm-ups that develop body center, connectivity, and flow. Then move on to strengthening movements of rolling, pressing, and resisting to create a sense of weight and physical boundary. Aerobic, rhythmic movement, combines breath, weight, and now uses space. Extend into space with authority and return to center with balance and an inner presence. The ball is used to maximize resistance, positioning, and support during floor exercises. Moving meditation at the end.
